Bows and Arrows

Matis Indians demonstrating Amazonian bows and arrows.  As is typical with Amazonian tribes, the bows are made out of peach palm (Bactris gasipaes).  Arrows are very long, approximately two meters.  Arrow construction is similar to the Matses tribe, although the quality of craftsmanship is typically less intricate.
