Native Amazonian Indian Ritual being performed inside a small shelter. The Ceremony of Queixada is only one of many rituals performed by the Matis tribe. These rituals are often religious in that they involve animal spirits. To the Matis, animal spirits control both the real and spiritual worlds, and they make no distinction between them, believing that both worlds are one and the same. |
